Abstract
In this paper we analyze 5.2 GHz channel measurement data in an urban macro-cell scenario in order to figure out the likelihood of a free line-of-sight and the statistics of the Ricean k-factor. We introduce a physical method to obtain this information from the Doppler delay spectrum taking GPS information into account. It is found, that for short distances the direct signal is available in 62% of all cases. However, the likelihood reduces at larger distances. In addition the average k-factor reduces with increasing distance. Measured distributions are fitted and parameters are provided for use in channel modelling.
