Biography

Martin Schubert is senior research scientist at the FhG-HHI. He obtained the doctoral degree with highest honors from Technische Universität, Berlin, Germany, in 2002. Since 2003 he is project leader at HHI and lecturer at the Technical University of Berlin. M. Schubert has 10 years experience in the modeling and optimization of interference-coupled wireless networks, and the development of iterative algorithms for adaptive interference mitigation and resource allocation. He has published 2 books, 5 book chapters, around 120 papers and several patents in the areas of wireless communications, signal processing, and networking. In 2007, M. Schubert was a co-recipient of the VDE Johann-Philipp-Reis Award for outstanding, innovative contributions to the field of telecommunication. He co-authored the 2007 Best Paper Award of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. He was co-organizer of the VDE/ITG Workshop on Smart Antennas 2009 in Berlin. Since 2009 he is Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions of Signal Processing. Dr. Schubert has led HHI activities in various projects, with a total volume of 225 person-months. This includes industrial co-operations, BMBF-funded projects and EU-funded projects MASCOT and SAPYHRE.
